They protect the rights, safety and well-being of research participants. Research governance refers to the processes used to ensure accountability for the scientific quality, ethical acceptability and safety of research conducted at South West Healthcare.
Stan Carroll Library strives to provide quality library service to support best practice and medication safety across South West Healthcare. The Clinical Trials Unit at SWH provides regional patients with access to new and emerging medications in an effort to improve medical care for all through the participation in Clinical Trials. At present the Clinical Trials Unit at SWH offers Clinical Trials in Oncology including Breast, Bowel, Lung and Pancreatic cancer.Current studies come from Pharmaceutical Industry, Cooperative Groups as well as Investigator Initiated Research.
