Lowitja Institute invites you to our Lowitja Learning Summit – Ngumbaay-dyil Yalbilinya (all together, learn) – a two-day event hosted by Australia’s only national Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health research institute.

The event will bring together Aboriginal community controlled organisations, researchers and partners across Western NSW to share knowledge and best practice to strengthen community-led health research and support organisations in leading our own research.

Day one focuses on shared learning, decolonising research practice and showcasing powerful community-led case studies.

Day two provides space for facilitated dialogue about Aboriginal community aspirations for research, considering barriers, enablers and practical next steps.

Together, the gathering creates opportunities to connect, reflect and shape a strong, community controlled research agenda that advances the health and wellbeing of our peoples.
