Grants-in -Aid

Grants-in-Aid funds high quality research into the causes, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer. We are committed to funding research projects tackling all cancer types to achieve our vision for a cancer-free future. Applications will be assessed in a two-phase process consisting of an Expression of Interest and if shortlisted, applicants will be invited to submit a Full Application.

2024 Key Dates:

EOI open: 20 May EOI close: 21 June

Full Applications open (via invitation only): 4 September Full Applications close: 6 October

Outcomes advised: November/ December

Available funding: Up to 8 grants are available, for a maximum of $360,000 per grant across three years. These grants support all types of cancer research ranging from prevention, detection, screening, treatment, palliative care, supportive care, allied health, pharmacological, or psychosocial. In addition to funding across all cancer types, there will be funding available for one project with a focus on addressing a regional need related to cancer, and that is led by a regional institution.
